The FLUORECARE™ Reader is a compact point-of-care test system for fluorescence detection to determine different analyses in whole blood, plasma and serum.
The high-performance portable immunoassay system consists of the laser fluorescence reader FLUORECARE™ and the test cartridge adapted to the specific parameter. The Point-of-Care analysis system is characterized by its wide-ranging parameter menu and provides professionals with high-quality medical information with the user friendly handling.
The FLUORECARE™ system is based on fluorescence immunoassay technology. This allows the quantification of single or multiple analytes at the same time by measuring laser-induced epifluorescence. The test is performed on a cartridge with specific parameters.
The tests are based on immunochromatographic technology. The concentration of different analytes in human serum or plasma is detected. The fluorescence-labelling antibodies are located in the sample chamber of the specific test cartridge. The addition of human serum or plasma forms the parameter-dependent antibody complex. The applied sample passes the nitrocellulose matrix of the test strip due to the capillary effect. With a higher concentration of analytes, the aggregation of the complex on the detection line is increased.
